Statement necklaces... I.love.them.
I always have really, ever since I can remember....I'm thinking it was my Mother and Aunty who got me hooked. Big, chunky and unique. Bright, bold and beautiful. I tend to always be buying them for my family too, whether for a birthday or Christmas, or just because I see one and it reminds me of that person, so I just have to get it. And there are so many amazing jewellery stores here in Melbourne... it's hard not to feed my addiction.
If you're going with a strapless dress on your big day then a great big statement necklace can compliment the outfit so well. Don't get me wrong, it's a brave thing to do (as most of us tend to go for the more simple look) but when you get it right, it just looks sooooo good.
But of course, it never has to be restricted to weddings.... so below are 3 of my favourites for the 'I do' day and then 3 just for fun.
Have a lovely weekend everyone

It's Friday. The sun is shinning and the birds are chirping.... except I can't hear any of that because of the very VERY loud workmen digging up my street. Right. Outside. My. House.
I have a headache already!
Moving on... Today's 3 things that we heart are all photograph based.
I am just loving these particular ways to display photographs. The whole 'wooden' look is still very much in at the moment and is certainly something that you can create on your own - a little project if you will... perhaps something you could make for someone this Valentines day??
How many of you have photographs just sitting around, or perhaps you haven't had the chance to get them printed? They may be engagement photos, wedding photos, baby photos, family & friends, holidays... the list is endless.
I'm just saying... a homemade gift can be more thoughtful than a bought gift. I mean at the end of the day, it's about the thought put into its conception. The emotion, the time, the energy spent working on something personal for someone... Just an idea!
And then lastly, I just thought I'd throw in a 4th shot - the one of all the millions of cameras all stacked up... something about it, I just like. Ok, so not millions....
Have a great weekend everyone!

Ahhhh rings... first you are given a beautiful engagement ring, then a wedding ring too! Oh diamonds really are a girls best friend.
I just love all the different ways that you can photograph wedding rings... it's a great chance to have a bit of fun with the photos by using props and showing off your personality. And at the end of the day, it's always nice to have some photographs of those little details...
It's certainly one of those shots that you should discuss with you wedding photographer. They always have such great ideas!
Below are a few of my favourites....

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is almost upon us once again... It's shaping up to be a beautiful day here in Melbourne... the 7's are taking place in Wellington and Auckland has had a short week due to the anniversary day on Monday. We hope you've had a good week!
So, today's 3 things we heart are. just. all. so. pretty.
This breathtaking dress below is a Lyn Ashworth who is based in the UK. All of her dresses are so incredibly elegant... but this one in particular i just adore.

One of our newer designs here at Cocoa Berry is one called 'Carnival'. We know how popular the whole fairground/bunting/carnival theme has been in the wedding industry and it certainly seems to be here to stay for a little while.
Loving the detail of the candy bar in the top left hand corner - makes such an impact at a wedding...
If you're getting married in the Wellington/Wairarapa region The Couture Candy Buffet Company are brilliant at this sort of thing. They specialise in creating high end boutique candy and dessert buffets that are stylish and chic. Love.
