Coffee Time

Ever got to the afternoon and felt like something is missing......sweet sweet coffee I love you.

Entirely unrelated to weddings or stationery...but completely related to me right now.

And I know these biscuits are completely unnecessary! (two even!!)

Love them Lillys

I LOVE everything about Lilly's. Their smell, their beauty, their name. Its a natural association with Weddings so it came easy to design a full set for our stationery 'off the rack' section.

Check out the full set here.

Love xx

Kirsty and Gary - Scottish and NZ wedding

We've had the pleasure of working with Kirsty and Gary on their Save the Date cards for their up and coming nuptials.

Kirsty came to us with a very clear idea (and some creative license!) and we worked together to come up with the following design. With Gary being Scottish and Kirsty being a Kiwi (and the marriage taking place in NZ) it was important to them both to include Gary's heritage - hence the Scottish Thistle being the core element to the design. It also has extra special meaning - being the the symbol of the country they first met in. Bliss!

Kirsty chose a slightly textured paper for her Save the Dates - adding to the rustic elegance in the overall look.

We are looking forward to working on further stationery with Kirsty and Gary later down the track.

Olive Grove Deliciousness

Olive Groves are a popular venue for weddings so why why not let your venue influence the design of your stationery.

Here is a new design that has just been put up on our website. You can see the full set here

Lots of greens in the palette contrasted with a crisp white background makes this a earthy yet elegant design.

Have a great weekend!!!

Love Charlotte and Lucy.

Loving the Stripes

Hello! Here's a pic of one of our designs from our off the rack section 'Stripes of Love'.

Shown in a black and white colour scheme. Effective and striking and would tie in nicely with a black and white themed wedding.

It is also a design that is simple whilst still being elegant. Another bonus is that it is not too feminine - so all those groomies out there will enjoy the design too!

You can see the whole set here.

Happy Birthday to us!

Well, Cocoa Berry Design is One year old today! This year has gone in a blink of an eye. It seems like just the other day Lucy and I were just chatting about this idea we had while living abroad, walking around the park in Ascot, England - and now we have been going for a FULL on year.

We had a little celebration we this delicious cake YUM-O it was amazing - thanks City Cake Company!

It also gave us the opportunity to reflect on the year and everything that has happened. (thanks to the most amazing powerpoint presentation - you love those graphs Lucy!) We are really excited about the future with lots of new projects on the horizon! So watch this space!

A big thanks to everyone who has helped us along the way. Especially to our Man Friends - without you none of this would be possible. xoxo

Easter Holiday -Down on the Farm, yeee ha

Hello All, I hope you all had a great Easter break! Thought I would take a little diversion from a 'Wedding Stationery' Post and just show a few pics of how I spent my Easter.

A few days with Ma + Pa Cocoa Berry in the sunny (usually) Wairarapa (Nth of Wellington) was just what the Dr. ordered. Refreshed and ready to get back in to it - The wedding Show season is sooner then I think.

View from Ma +Pa's house. Not bad I'd say! Love the Toi Toi's blowing in the wind.
Mum's new pup - 'Echo' in mid excited I-found-the-ball pose. So cute I want to bite his little face.

One of the many healthy delights found in the veggie garden and consumed over the weekend....

...and one of the not so healthy. Not found on garden but found in Moore Wilsons fresh market. To DIE for choc and silky marshmallow - hand made in Napier 'The Silky Oak Choc Company' seriously good.

Took a few pics of Mums beautiful Jewellery she makes. Watch this space for more to come of her awesome sterling silver and gold beauties!

A whole lot-a info

When inviting guests to your wedding, sometimes it's not as straight forward as just stating the date and time. Especially with more and more 'weekend weddings' occurring, lasting more then one day, and lots of details needed!

A good way of giving your guests all the info they need and not overbearing your actual invite with lots of writing - is to have an extra insert or information card. This way the information stays separate from the invite and is particularly useful for the purpose of directions. (better for guests to take the info card with them then the whole invite)

Information commonly given in an extra insert is: Directions, Accommodation options, registry details, transport options and next day activities e.g. BBQ or brunch.

Here are a few examples of some info cards we have done. See here for design options.
